Former U.S. vice-presidential candidate Sarah Palin has hinted she may run for the White House in 2012 but then added it is 'not on my radar screen right now'.

The former Alaska governor's autobiography Going Rogue is released in the States today and last night she appeared on the Oprah Winfrey show.

The book has become an instant bestseller, already topping the Amazon book sales charts.

It goes on sale in the UK next month.

During the hour-long programme the Republican refused to say outright that she would stand but the 413-page book's publication and the media blitz suggest she is testing the waters as to whether running would be a popular decision.
